The platform has 140 million monthly users and is still growing. Gaming streams are a huge part of Twitch.tv. It is also one of the reasons for this immense growth.
One of the best things about Twitch is the community. Every streamer has their own community with whom you can interact. It is pretty fun, and you can relate with most in your community.

Justin.tv, Twitch’s parent company, was founded in 2007 by Justin Kaun and Emmet Shear. At first, the platform offered a wide range of content (it still does), but gaming content started overtaking the platform very soon.
In 2011, the company separated the gaming section and moved it to a new site called Twitch.tv. Later, Justin.tv rebranded to Twitch Interactive.

Creating a Twitch account is pretty easy. You can easily create an account even if you are a boomer by following the below steps:
Step 1: Visit the official Twitch.tv website.
Step 2: You can see the sign up box on the top right corner of the website
Step 3: Click on the signup button and enter the required details (username, password, phone number, etc.)
Step 4: Now, your mobile will receive an OTP for verification. You can use your email for verification if your phone is not working
Step 5: After verification, click sign up and finish the process
Activating your Twitch account on PlayStation
To activate your Twitch account on PlayStation, you should be logged in to your account on a different device. Let’s get into the step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Go to the PlayStation Store on your console
Step 2: Search and install the Twitch App. You don’t need to be a techie, as it is a simple process
Step 3: After installing the app, log in to your Twitch account using the login credential you created
Step 4: Once you are done with step 3, you will see a six-digit code on your screen
Step 5: Now, open a different device and go to https://www.twitch.tv/activate. Remember, you must be logged in to your account on this device
Step 6: Enter the six digit code you saw in Step 4 and click activate
Viola, now you can watch and stream through your PlayStation console. Note that this works for all PlayStation variants.
Activating your Twitch account on Xbox
Activating Twitch on Xbox is similar to activating Twitch on PlayStation. Again, you will need to log in to your Twitch account on a different device. These steps apply to all Xbox variants. Follow these steps to activate Twitch on your Xbox:
